Custom domains

Connect and verify a custom domain for a paid Cordially wedding workspace.

Overview

Custom domains let guests use your own domain instead of the default Cordially subdomain.

Key concepts

Custom domains are managed from workspace settings. Cordially stores the domain record, coordinates provider status, and shows DNS records or verification challenges when needed.

Only active custom domains are used as public website URLs.

How it works

Owners can connect a domain, follow the DNS instructions, refresh status, and disconnect the domain if needed. Cordially also keeps the platform subdomain as a fallback.

When a custom domain is active, saving website content or publishing updates does not change the primary domain. The custom domain remains the guest-facing URL, and the Cordially subdomain remains available as a fallback.

Common workflow

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to domain settings.
  3. Enter the custom domain.
  4. Add the displayed DNS records at your domain provider.
  5. Refresh status until the domain is live.

Notes and limitations

Custom domain management is owner-only and paid-workspace behavior. DNS propagation can take time outside Cordially.
