Origins

Learn what the current Origins wedding website template supports.

Overview

Origins is the current production Cordially template.

Key concepts

Origins supports a public home page, RSVP experience, envelope introduction, and independently publishable Save the Date. It is designed for a wedding website with strong editorial sections, schedule details, guest-facing logistics, invitation delivery, and an integrated RSVP flow.

What you can edit

Origins includes structured controls for copy, story content, images and video blocks, Home-page decorative assets, logistics, events, detail cards, invitation text, FAQ content, footer content, colors, text-target typography, localization, click/reveal effects, hero and envelope design libraries, Save the Date formats, and RSVP settings.

Optional, repeatable Map Guide blocks let you organize hotels, restaurants, venues, and attractions into groups. Each place can include localized editorial copy, a shared address and map link, and a pin placed directly on the map or entered as coordinates.

Map appearance choices include Soft Editorial, Monochrome, Classic, and Watercolor. The three vector maps adapt their labels to the website typography; Watercolor uses Stamen's archived painted map tiles, whose labels are part of the artwork, while headings, place cards, markers, and the rest of the guide continue using the site's design settings.

Experience settings also include optional desktop cursor styles: an image trail, one or two airy image followers, or a small color-inverting circle. Image styles use photos selected from the site media library, and Image Trail can be limited to the Home Hero. These effects stay off on touch devices and when a visitor requests reduced motion.

How it works

The template uses saved site data, event records, RSVP data, localization settings, media assets, and shared palette/typography libraries to render editor preview and public surfaces from the same contracts.

Notes and limitations

Some template sections are intentionally locked to preserve structure and responsive behavior. Optional sections can be hidden or adjusted when the editor exposes those controls.

Home-page decorative assets are visual-only. They can sit behind or above content and span a section boundary, but they do not add links, animation, or RSVP-page content.
