Overview

The Design panel controls the main visual style for the current website template.

Key concepts

Origins supports palette presets, custom palette colors, saved custom palettes, typography presets, custom font role assignments and styles, and saved typography presets. Typography V2 lets you select supported text targets in the preview and adjust font, size, weight, italic, underline, alignment, line spacing, letter spacing, and links according to that target's capabilities.

Design controls update the preview so you can review contrast, tone, and overall fit before saving.

Save the Date matches the website design by default. Choosing Customize separately takes a complete snapshot of the current website colors and typography, which you can then edit without changing the website. Returning to Match website removes that separate snapshot and resumes live synchronization.

How it works

Use palette controls to choose or tune colors for backgrounds, headings, body text, accents, and RSVP buttons. Use typography controls to choose font roles and reusable role-level styles. Select supported text in the preview or use the matching field in the Pages panel for inline bold, italic, underline, and link formatting.

Common workflow

Choose a palette preset close to your wedding style.
Adjust individual color roles if needed.
Save a custom palette if you want to reuse it.
Choose typography presets or assign custom fonts and role styles.
Select individual text targets for supported overrides and inline formatting.
Save a typography preset to reuse it in the website, Save the Date, and invitation email editors.
Review the preview on desktop and mobile.

Type Garden

Choose the Type Garden typography preset, or find it under Special in a website font selector to grow animated stems, leaves, and roses around your lettering. Playfair Display Bold is the default; use Font in Garden settings to choose any font in the library. Garden lettering remains bold. You can apply it to a whole font role or an individual supported text element. Selecting it while words are highlighted still applies it to the entire element.

Open Garden settings to choose Breathe, Grow & wither, Typed, Gust, Reach, Scatter, or Visitor. Breathe is the default. Reach follows your cursor, pen, or finger while touching the page, without blocking scrolling. It rests when the pointer leaves or your finger lifts. Visitor includes a butterfly that flies in and out at the viewport edges. Typed, Grow & wither, and Scatter can hide and reveal the letters during their loops.

Flowers, stems, and details use distinct rose, teal, and cream companion colors tinted by the current surface palette. They stay linked as you change palettes unless individually overridden. Reset a color to inherit it again, or choose Regrow garden to change the arrangement. Individual text settings override role settings. These settings are saved with your site; reusable typography presets retain the font choice and ordinary typography styles, but do not include garden motion, colors, or arrangement.

Typing grows new decoration and deleting text withers it. Normal text editing, including Enter, remains unchanged. Visitors see the selected motion without editing the copy. Visitors who request reduced motion see a static garden.

Type Garden is available for website and live Save the Date text. Email and captured invitation-artwork font selectors do not offer it; an inherited Type Garden font renders as ordinary Playfair Display Bold there. Existing inline formatting is retained when switching back to another font.
