Overview

Sections are the editable building blocks inside a template page.

Key concepts

The Pages panel shows the template pages and their sections. Some sections are locked because they define the template structure. Other sections can be edited, hidden, or reordered.

Origins includes website sections for the hero, story, gallery-style content, logistics, schedule, details, invitation copy, FAQ, footer, and repeatable generic or video blocks. It also includes RSVP, envelope, and Save the Date sections.

How it works

Open a page, expand a section, and edit the fields Cordially exposes for that section. Depending on the field, you may update text, links, images, colors, dates, repeater items, video playback, or visibility. The Blocks library can search and filter optional sections; new repeatable instances start from the template defaults.

Story Timeline offers Compact, Standard, and Large options under Card Width. Standard preserves the original card dimensions. Photos scale with each card while keeping their image framing, and widths adapt to smaller screens. Preview the timeline after changing its width, then save your changes to update your published site.

Video blocks accept YouTube, Vimeo, direct MP4/WebM, and other supported HTTP(S) or site-relative video sources. Autoplay is muted, and loop, controls, aspect ratio, and frame corners are configurable.

Creative blocks

The following optional, repeatable blocks are available on both Home and Save the Date:

Marquee: One or two moving text ribbons, with individual directions, speed and the section background color. Edit typography in the text toolbar and put separators directly in the row text.
Scroll Story: A sequence of chapters, each with one photo-or-video selector. Larger screens use sticky media that changes with the active chapter; phones show chapters in order with their media.
Quick Links: Choose Visual cards, Image tiles, or Minimal rows from the Presentation dropdown. Cards and tiles offer Compact, Standard, and Tall heights, with up to three columns on desktop, two on tablets, and one on phones. Minimal rows stack their text and actions on phones. Add actions for external websites, sections on the current page, RSVP, maps, email, and adding your primary event to a calendar. RSVP follows your site's RSVP availability. Calendar actions require a configured event.
Tap to Reveal: Reorderable questions and answers with optional explanation and images, and soft-arch, rounded, rectangular, or oval card shapes. Images use full-card backgrounds with a dark overlay for readable text by default; circular images are also available. Answers and images start blurred and sharpen when tapped; card heights stay stable when revealed and adapt to the content in each row. Guest interactions are temporary and do not submit responses.
Then & Now: Two framed photos with editable labels and a divider guests can drag or adjust with a keyboard.
Audio Note: Upload a spoken recording, add a photo and description, choose a soft-arch, rounded, rectangular, or oval image shape, and provide an optional transcript below the note. The transcript starts hidden and guests can choose Show transcript or Hide transcript; its text defaults to the body font in small italics. The player displays a waveform decoded from the recording that guests can scrub. Playback starts only when a guest chooses it and pauses background music. Guests can resume the music themselves.

Audio uploads support MP3, M4A, AAC, OGG, and WAV up to 15 MB and require a paid workspace. Removing a recording from a block removes that reference; it does not delete the uploaded file.

Several creative options live inside existing blocks:

Image Gallery → Infinite film reel: Continuously moving photos with clean, film-strip, or Polaroid styling, captions, direction, speed, spacing, image ratio, and frame corners. Existing galleries keep their bento layout.
Generic: Side-by-side and stacked layouts remain available, alongside reversed split, full-width text, full-bleed media, and text over media.
Details → Inline: Display configured rich content directly on the page. Cards + Overlays remains the default.

The film reel includes a pause button. Marquee pauses on hover or focus and toggles pause when tapped or when Space/Enter is pressed while focused. Both respect reduced-motion preferences. New options do not add blocks to existing pages or change their layouts automatically.

Common workflow

Open the Pages panel.
Select a page and section.
Edit fields in the section panel.
Reorder supported sections with drag controls.
Hide optional sections that do not apply to your wedding.
