RSVP overview

Learn how Cordially collects RSVP responses from invited guests and connects them to events.

Overview

Cordially RSVP connects public guest responses to the guest list and wedding events.

Key concepts

The RSVP flow is public and does not require a guest account. Invitation list requires an existing exact-name match. Flexible access preserves that search-first experience and allows an unrecognized visitor to register. Open RSVP skips lookup and begins with party details.

Responses are tied to guests and events so the workspace can show attending, declined, pending, and not invited states.

How it works

The public RSVP page loads the published site for the current host. It only uses published-site context and controlled server actions.

Existing guests can submit yes or no responses for invited events and answer enabled meal or custom questions. Open registrations supply names and any email or mailing-address fields configured in Settings, then complete the same event-by-event flow. Recognized parties can also add or replace configured contact fields without Cordially revealing saved private values.

Notes and limitations

The page is public in all three modes. Cordially validates every party, guest, event, invitation, and answer on the server and applies request limits when a source IP is available, but couples should still share the RSVP address intentionally.
