Editor overview

Learn how the Cordially editor lets you update structured website content while previewing the current draft.

Overview

The website editor is where you customize the content, design, settings, and images for your wedding website. Save the Date has its own editor in the workspace navigation so you can work on and publish it independently.

Key concepts

Cordially uses a structured editor. You edit supported fields and sections instead of placing freeform elements on a blank canvas.

The editor loads the current saved draft, hydrates local editor state, and renders a live preview next to the editing controls.

How it works

Use the primary editor navigation to move between pages, design, settings, and image tools. The website editor includes Home, RSVP, and Envelope. The dedicated Save the Date editor opens directly to Save the Date content, design, and focused settings.

Changes update the draft preview immediately. Saving persists the complete shared draft for the workspace. If you try to leave with unsaved changes, Cordially lets you save and leave, discard the edits, or stay in the editor.

Common workflow

  1. Open Website or Save the Date from the workspace navigation.
  2. Choose the page or section to edit.
  3. Update copy, images, colors, typography, or settings.
  4. Check the preview in desktop and mobile modes.
  5. Save your draft.
  6. Publish the selected surface when it is ready.

Notes and limitations

The current editor is centered on the Origins template. Some sections are locked to preserve the template structure, while supported sections can be hidden, reordered, or edited based on the template rules.
