DocsWebsite EditorEditor basics

Editor publishing

Publish, unpublish, and update the public website from the editor settings panel.

Overview

The website editor settings panel includes publication controls for the full website. The dedicated Save the Date editor has its own publication control.

Key concepts

Publishing makes the selected surface visible at its public link. Unpublishing hides that surface. After publishing, future saves update it from the latest valid shared draft.

The editor also includes browser title, localization, public subdomain, RSVP availability, and site experience settings.

How it works

Use the Public Website control in website editor settings to publish or unpublish the root wedding site. Use the Save the Date publication control for /savethedate; it can be enabled before the root site is published. Both use the same platform/custom host and passcode rules.

Notes and limitations

Publishing and subdomain changes require a paid workspace. If publishing fails, review the message shown in the editor and try again after resolving the issue.
